Plugin Microsoft Outlook in Mac OS

Question

Hi,
Is it possible to develop a Plugin for Microsoft Outlook that can be installed as a Add-in on Mac OS Outlook installation. The previous questions on these say it is not possible to develop using VB. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ashok.

Hi Ashok,
Microsoft Office Add-ins are based on the COM technology. There is no such technology in the world of Mac OS.
Only VBA Add-ins are available in case of Microsoft Office for Mac. Please read more about that technology on the Creating VBA Add-ins to Extend and Automate Microsoft Office Documents page in MSDN

No, Outlook for Mac doesn’t support the add-in development now.BTW, this is forum is used to discuss development questions about Office for Windows operating system.
If you have any other questions about Office for Mac, I suggest you to post your question to Office for Mac to get more effective response.
Best regards
Fei

Hi Eugene,
Thanks for the details. Is the mentioned VBA Add-in applicable for Outlook 2011 of Mac also. I do not see the mentioning of Outlook there.
Thanks,
