VSTO40 download link seems to be broken RRS feed

Answers

  • To answer the initial question. The issue is a download centre issue. This is the response I received from MS:

Status update on this:  I’ve spoken to folks at the office to take a look right away.  They’re trying to figure out what happened as I’m typing this; it might have had to do with a refresh/update that was being pushed out last week.

Expect this to be resolved soon.

  • We are also facing the same issue. Both the:

    and

     http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=158918

are broken. Please let me know if you find a solution from MS. We are also opening a ticket with Microsoft , will update if I hear back from them.

  • Is this problem fixed?  Our users are having the same problem. They cannot install our Outlook add-in.

  • I encountered the issue over the weekend and posted about it here and blogged about it here.

I was contacted from someone at MS 4 hours ago to tell me they were actively looking into the issue. It's a frustrating issue because my users are blaming my installer and there is nothing I can do about it except package all the prerequisites along with the install (and that's not really a viable option for me).
