Continuous working of background agent in Windows phone 8 RRS feed

    Hi ,

    We are developing an application  for location tracking updated every 5 seconds and  the location is sent to our server (HTTP Get/Post). The people in the same group can view others location also using the application. We want this app to run in background and hence the background agent should work for more than 3-4 days consistently without user intervention.

    Please let me know if this is possible in Windows phone 8

    Hi mohan Hifi,

    Yes it is possible . Create your background agent with time trigger and functionality that you need.

    This post will helpful for you

    Please consider about your background agent resource consuming. because once it peeked more than 11MB OS will automatically shutdown the agent. 

    Use dispatchers and other optimization techniques to avoid it.
