What kind of control is the Outlook Message form text box control (To, CC, BCC)? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

If I query the text box control for the recipient text box controls I can get the Forms::IControl interface. So I am trying QI the _OlkTextBox control from that interface, and it fails with a no interface error. So obviously it is not an Outlook texbox control. Does anybody know what type of control the text box is? My ultimate goal is to monitor change events such as change, after update and before update.

    Thanks,

    Tom

  • Windows Class is RichEditW20WPT (in Outlook 2016) - you can see it in Spy++.

You would need to use low level Windows API subclassing.
