Task counts not showing up on the Stories in the Kanban view RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We are using TFS 2015 Update 3 and having issues with Task counts not showing up on the Stories in the Kanban view (Feature Team).

We have 100+ feature teams but this is happening with only one feature team and checked all the settings too but no luck.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you !!

  • Hi Raj_Rajesh,

Could you please check which link type of tasks to these two stories which not show tasks ? Only children tasks could show in Stories cards in Kanban board.

  • Hi MSDN Team,

Yes, I have checked again and all tasks which are linked is CHILD task ONLY.

Is this a bug? Can we quickly resolve this?

  • Hi Raj,

Did these tasks in the same team project as your User story? Could you see them in the backlog board when expanding your User stories?

  • Hi Raj,

Could you please provide a screenshot of the relate backlog of the problem team? Please expand user stories.

How about create a new team with the same setting as this problem team? Will this new team have this issue?

    Best Regards

  • Hi Team,

It's not happening in new team. This is happening randomly as we have faced same issue with diff feature team 5 months back and it got auto resolved. This is happening for current feature team now.

    Thanks,

    Raj

  • Hi Raj,

If a new team with the same setting as the current feature team doesn't meet this issue. As a work around, you could use the new team instead of current feature team.

  • Hi MSDN Team,

Nope. We cannot suggest this to our team as they have lot of data mapped to this feature team.

This is the bug in product and request your team to look into this and fix.

Every time we cannot suggest teams to change their feature teams

    Thanks,

    Rajesh
