How do I find out the name of the Forest? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I am a newbie to SharePoint and I have inherited an Intranet site. I want to create a new synchronization connection in Central Administration to query the Active Directory setup we have. I need to drill down to see if a certain user is ticked or not. I know the domain controller I think but I do not know what to enter for the Forest name. Is there a quick and easy way of finding this out?

    or run this powershell command.
