file size limitations on asp.net develmentserver RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi,

    i'm writing a web service which should be able to get a file via wcf. so i defined a binding like this:

    <binding name="WSHttpBinding_IFHS" maxReceivedMessageSize="10000000" messageEncoding="Mtom" >
              <readerQuotas  maxArrayLength="10000000" />

    (i tried also a lot of other configurations)

    generaly everything works fine until i try to upload a file bigger than 3mb

    the datacontract looks like this
    public class FileData
        public string FileName { getset; }
        public byte[] Data { getset; }

    as i tried already 100 other settings an configurations i'm wondering if the problem maby is the asp.net developmentserver... does it have a kind of "traffic limitation"?

    the exception i get is a communicationexception with the message "the connection has been closed: the connection has been closed unexpected"

    does anybody got the same problems?
    or does sombody know what do do?

  • hi i solved the problem. all you need to know you can find here:

    look for

       <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="8192" />  // Default was 4096(K) in machine.config.  You can change it to a larger number
