How to develop search engine using c# RRS feed

  • I developed application using c# but if i need to develop search engine  then i like to know only c# alone is enough?

    Do i need to use any associated technology or tools?

    Please guide me how to develop search engine using .net and other associated technology and tools.

    guide me in details that how start this job?  Thanks

    Developing a search engine is a complicated process, and it may be difficult for a single person to complete it.

    Integrating open source search engines into your own projects may be a better option.

    You can take a look at SolrSharp or SolrNet written by Mauricio Scheffer. Both of them are interactive library developed for Solr.

  • You are not ready to tackle a project like this.

    Remember that a search engine keeps a copy of every web page and every document on the internet.  It is estimated that Google has 10 million terabytes in their search engine database.  Not only do you need to store them locally, but you need to index them efficiently so you can do searches.

    You need to find a more reasonable project.
