Game wrongly rejected Hardware Requirements (Inaccurate Representation)

    Question

  • I'm not sure exactly where to post this since I couldn't find developer dashboard are but when I submitted my game it got rejected for

"As of July 1, 2018, hardware requirements will need to be declared in the Recommended Hardware metadata field. Please update your app metadata on your next submission. Your app requires the following: Xbox controllers"

I clearly have that here but it got rejected anyways. Why is this considered "Inaccurate Representation" when it's clearly listed here? Is there some other location I need it in like my visual studio project/solution or something?

Our engineering team requests the more info.

    1. What is AppID of this product?

    2. What is BIgID of this product?

    Please let us know.

    Thanks!

  • "AppId": "9NS79V6S8D6C"

is the BIgID the Package/Identity/Name, Package SID, Package Family Name (PFN), Package/Identity/Publisher or something else? I don't see that on my dashboard or in VS project

  • I have the same issue - certification failure because my game requires an Xbox controller saying that I need to "add this limitation to the Recommended Hardware field". I have the Xbox controller "Minimum" and "Recommended" boxes checked.

  • Hello, Green Bray Games LLC.

We have update from the engineering team below.

"Chibisu's Costume Combat (Original app from the sting) – This app failed for not disclosing hardware requirements when they did disclose them.  The failure was due to a now fixed system bug where the claimed hardware requirement was not properly displayed to reviewers.  I have marked the app to bring it to special attention when it’s next submitted to make sure it’s handled correctly."

Could you please resubmit and let us know the result.

    Thanks!

  • Hello, Mike Oliphant.

We have update from the engineering team below.

"This app has also failed for not declaring hardware requirements, which as above was due to the system bug.  The dev has resubmitted since then and that submission was Passed with Notes, so there should be no further action needed here."

    Thanks!
