Page Load for the first time users RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi,

we have one Sharepoint 2010 Web application and it is an intranet site, the issue is that when ever its loading for the first time its taking around 3 minutes to load.

so i checked this site on the fiddler to check why it is taking so long to load the page and i found that the Images, controls and other files are loading in just 30 seconds but for the .Js files it is taking more time.

    below are the .js files

    core.js

    sp.core.js

    search.js

    cui.js

    ScriptResx.ashx

is there a way that i can load these files faster for the first time users

    Thanks

  • is it for only 1st customer or for all customer?

also try to enable the Developer Dashboard and see on which point it spending more time.

  • I second the Developer Dashboard also, it shouldn't take that long for the JS to load.

What browser are you using too?

  • if this is first time only 1 user then thats accepted behaviour....basically App pool recycled every night around AM hours...so first time when a user hit site will take time...

But you can use the warmup script as a workaround.

    here are few examples.
