Laptop suitable for Windows 8 Development

Question
-
I want to do some Windows 8 development work, but first need to setup my development environment.
Step 1: buy a new laptop. Which one should I buy? Any advice appreciated. Please let me know your experiences of particular makes and models.
What I want is something that has all the necessary drivers and will cause me the minimum of hassle in terms of setup and running.

Hello will stott,
If you look at the information in the link below, it shows some of the hardware that Windows Developer Preview used in the lab.

will stott,
You can find the System requirements and the ISO’s for the Windows Developer Preview here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/br229516
Anything meeting those requirements should work with the Windows Developer Preview.
Thanks,

In general if you have any laptop in testing enviroment that meets the requirement you could use it to do development , you don't need to buy one. But one thing you should consider, that if you want to use touchscreen feature, the laptop should support it .Saturday, January 7, 2012 9:23 AM

Thanks Marilyn. That's just what I wanted. However, I would encourage anyone with experiences, good and bad, with particular makes/models of PCs running Windows 8 to add them to the bottom of this post.
