MDX is totally different from the traditional T-SQL. I would suggest you buying a book from the beginning:
You can choose one book in above link, and then follow the book step by step.

Hi Sunil,
Learning MDX is about more using it in your cubes & reports. For a start

Best way is to build test cube and use SQL Profiler and observe the MDX that are send to Analysis server.
you can also use MDX Studio that gives you parse result for your query.MSDN is the best place to sart.
