P2P context is missing on Windows XP (SP3) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey!

    I would like to start working with P2P concept. I found some "How to get started" tutorials,

    but I have problem since there is no p2p context (netsh) on my Windows XP SP3 machine.

    What am I missing here? Is it only available on Vista/Win7?

    There are lots of documents online, that says SP3 is required for PNRP.

    (correction: not required, but includes everything needed)

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    [Beer]

  • In winxp, its a windows optional component needs to be installed from control panel.

    1) Goto control panel->"Add/Remove Programs"

    2) Add/remove windows components->Network services->peer to peer, enable the check box next to it.
