Chinese characters in query output - Access 2016

Hi all,

I am using access 2016 to design the database and i have a form which retrieves data from a table. but when retrieving the data it changes to Chinese characters. As per the research i have done they say we should not group a memo fields, and in access 2016 there is no memo fields, we just have long text and short text.

Hi,

Starting with Access 2013, Memo fields were changed to Long Text fields. So, those "old" articles referring to Memo fields, will now apply to Long Text fields, if you're using Access 2013 and later (including Access 2016).

Even the long text i done have a group by option in the query, so what could be the other issues.

Can you show us your query's SQL statement and tell us which one is the Long Text field. Also, not sure if it's related, but take a look at this example.

if they are fields that are referencing a form/report object i.e. Forms!FormName.fieldname

this reference must be entered into the Parameters area
