Register Managed Account-- domain account RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

In Central Administraion, I would like to "Register Managed Account", I try to add a domain account, by putting:

    User name: domain\myaccount
    Password: the network password

But I got this error message:
The given key was not present in the dictionary.

Any suggestion how I could resolve this please? Thank in advance.

  • Hi wkpli,

Do you try to register new managed account via Windows PowerShell? Here is the instructions:

    http://blogs.technet.com/b/wbaer/archive/2010/04/11/managed-accounts.aspx

Additionally, you can check 14hive for log about this error.

    Thanks & Regards.

  • For me it does not work.
Enter the user through PowerShell, but then the GUI no longer works.
To regain control of the GUI "Configure Managed Accounts" I delete the user from the users managed.

logs do not show other information.

    Other ideas?
