Issues with KB2937610 and Windows Update through SFC RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I am using Windows 7 SP1 with the latest patches.

I installed the latest security update  from my computer from windows update - KB2937610 - Security update for the .NET Framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1: August 12, <st1:metricconverter productid="2014 in" w:st="on">2014 in</st1:metricconverter> my machine

I ran the sfc checker today - sfc /scannow as I do as a monthly checker.  It  checked  my machine and it found issues that it was not able to repair/fix some issues through the sfc checker.

I was able to copy the cbs.log file from the Windows/log/cbs.log to my desktop and I saw that there issues that were not able to be repaired.

I have found out why the sfc is telling me that the files are not able to be  repaired since I installed the  update Windows6.1-KB2937610-x64 that does not work  well with sfc.  This KB2937610 is showing up in the area that can not be fixed.   When I uninstalled the update from my computer,  and I reran the sfc from command prompt, I was told by Sfc that windows  did not find any file integrity issues.

I  installed from Windows Update  KB2937610.   I reran the sfc and it again told me that it found issues and was unable  to repair/fix some issues through the sfc checker which was the same issue as before

I have uninstalled KB2937610-x64  from the machine and again no issues from  SFC.

Yet I am concerned regarding the security issues that were fixed by the patch not being installed in my machine

Here are the logs from cbs.log which shows the KB2937610 being the issues from SFC
