Avoid opening excel/word file outside the VSTO add in RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to avoid opening my excel/word files outside the VSTO add in.

I have tried setting password to file and handling document open event of application.

but it fires after the opening of document.

is there a better way of doing this

  • Hi tilanka,

    Thank you for posting here.

For your question is more related to VSTO, you could post a new thread in Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) forum.

The CLR Forum discuss and ask questions about .NET Framework Base Classes (BCL) such as Collections, I/O, Regigistry, Globalization, Reflection. Also discuss all the other Microsoft libraries that are built on or extend the .NET Framework, including Managed Extensibility Framework (MEF), Charting Controls, CardSpace, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF), Point of Sale (POS), Transactions.
