Context Menu in Word 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have a VSTO 4.0 Word 2010 add-in with <contextMenus> in our ribbon </customUI> (build using VS 2010).

Add-in works perfect in Word 2007, except for the context menu...

Is there something can be done here?

    Regards,

  • Hi Hariharan

You'd need to use the old CommandBars object model to generate the context menus. As it's still supported in Office 2010 you could have your code check the WordApplication.Version and branch accordingly.

  • There is no workaround. Pre-2010 versions of Office do not recognize context menus defined using the Ribbon.
