Driver Prioritization - Port Analysis RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a model that uses a 5-point numeric ranking scale to rank the drivers for each business driver (i.e., 1, 3 or 5) instead of the None, Low, Moderate, Strong, Extreme choices in the tool.  Will PS 2010 allow us to define our own naming convention and the number of variables in the ranking scale (e.g., if we wanted to use "1" through "5" or "1" through "10")?

How about a two-level driver rating?  If we gave projects a high-level driver prioritzation, then wanted to use that number in a more detailed prioritization that used more detailed drivers?

  • I don't think so.  The only thing you can do is to create your own calculations
external to Project Server then use the manual prioritization method for
the drivers - which basically allows you to input a single variable for each
    driver.
