Trouble loading .NET 2.0 pages on Windows Vista RRS feed

  • Question

  •  Hi,

I'm from Argentina. I have a c#.net 2.0 application that works perfectly on XP Professional. I also have the same project installed on another PC with Vista Ultimate but I can't make it work. I can see HTML pages without any trouble but when I want to enter a .NET page the browser keeps searching and searching and nothing happens, not even an error page !!

I think I have missed configurating something inside the IIS7. Any ideas??

    Thanks from Argentina !!

  • Can you please check following?

    1. Which pool is your web site using on vista:  Integrated / Classic? (inetmgr -> Web site -> Right click -> Advanced Settings-> Application Pool)

    2. Second check if .aspx handler is registered if it is working in classic app pool. (Website -> Http Handlers -> .aspx).

    3. Check if ASP.NET sub feature is enabled in IIS (COntrol panel -> Programs and features -> Turn Windows features on or off -> Internet Information Services -> World Wide Web features -> ASP.NET)

  • Yes you could be missing permissions and IIS7 configuration in IIS6 mode, I have covered all you need in the thread below with links from the Asp.net team.
