FBWF disabled flag RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to determine if the FBWF writer filter has ever been disabled on a system?  We're interested in checking this flag to indicate if a deployed system has ever had it's write filter disabled and hence the configuration has been contaminated.  This is particularly valuable to us during development.

  • e.g. : if you run the manager you get the state.. you also can pipe the value with find and than compare with if statements to get a result.

you also can than e.g. write a file like "on" or "off" or anything you want.

  • thanks KNARZ, but that tells me if FBWF is currently disabled but not whether FBWF has ever been disabled.

  • ah sry. - hm... i don't think there is a log. but you may should take a look at eventlog.
Or you develop a manager program by yourself and log the events. (and remove the normal manager of course)
