Integration of jquery in winjs apps RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have followed the msdn blog as detailed in: http://blogs.windows.com/windows/b/appbuilder/archive/2013/07/10/jquery-and-winjs-working-together-in-windows-store-apps.aspx, using the navigation code given on this page, I can navigate forwards and load content from an external HTML page dynamically. However on clicking the back button the scripts that I dynamically include from the external HTML file, suddenly stop working thus not loading the webpage in the app environment. Is there any reason for this?

  • Hi,

According to your description, you cannot load the previous page content when you create the back button to navigate to the previous page. If so, you should add the code in back button which calls WinJS.Navigation.back function so as to programmtically navigate back to the previous page (in the navigation stack).

Here is the reference of WinJS.Navigation.back method (you can also find other navigation methods on the WinJS.Navigation object)

    WinJS.Navigation.back function (Windows)

    Best Wishes!
