VS 2008: Importing Toolbox RRS feed

  • Question

  • All,

    I have VS 2008 SP1 running on Windows 7 RC (build 7100).

I'm trying to create an application with some free WPF gauge controls that I found on this website.  http://www.nextwavesoft.com   I registered and d/l Gauge toolbox.

There are instructions in the d/l that detail how to add the toolbox (using their .dll), and then create the reference in your project (again, a .dll file).  When I do this, everything works, except, when I drag the controls into my form, they're blank, all of them.  If I open their supplied demo projects, again, all the controls in the forms are blank.  What's odd is that if I run (F5) their forms, the controls show up fine and everything they've done works.

    What am I doing wrong?

Any help anyone can offer would be most appreciated.

    Thanks.

  • It sounds like they don't support a good design experience in their controls.

This may just be a limitation of their system.  However, I'd recommend posting on their forum instead of here.  You are much more likely to get valid information for a third party product (this really isn't a WPF issue, it's an issue with their gauge control) in their forums than in this forum.
