Run Console C# code in Windows Form Application RRS feed

  • I want to add matrix rain effect for the Screen in Windows Form Application. I got C# code for Console Application. When I try to copy the same code it is showing Exception. Please suggest me how to do that. I just want to know whether it is possible or not?

  • I searched for matrix rain effect. Apparently it does in a text-only console window what would be (relatively) easy to do in a window with graphics. The reason it is so popular is because it attempts to simulate what is normally done using graphics. Console windows typically are only capable of text. DOS windows are (were) capable of graphics so that is why it is wrong to call a console (command-prompt) window (in current versions of Windows) a DOS window.

    Yes it is possible to simulate graphics in a Windows Form Application as if in a console window but since the Windows Form Application is capable of graphics it would be more impressive to use graphics.
