Different Pivot Table versions RRS feed

  • Question

  • for each pivot field, Pivot item limit:

    2003: 32,500 unique items

    2010: 1,048,576 unique items

I got a pivot table created in 2003, which sourced data from a MS Access database. Now there're some pivot fields which have over 32,500 unique items. Is there a way to convert the pivot table version from xlPivotTableVersion10 to xlPivotTableVersion14 when changing Excel file into 2010 without re-creating the new pivot table in excel 2010? Much appreciate for any reply.

  • Have you tried to set the Version member of the pivot table to xlPivotTableVersion14?

  • Yeah, just change PivotTable version 10 to version 14.  Try that, and post back, with specific details of what goes wrong, if you are still experiencing a problem.

  • Hi I have same problem.

Pivot Tables created in Excel 2003 (using version xlPivotTableVersion10) need to be converted to Excel 2010/2013 (version xlPivotTableVersion14 / 15)

My pivot tables used OLEDB connection to MSAS OLAP cube.

How can I change the version of PivotTable? I try to change the PivotCache but no success.

    thanks for any idea

    Jakub
