BUG: Unable to set ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION permission for Android app RRS feed

  • Question

  • User141005 posted

    Greetings,

I am unable to set the ACCESSFINELOCATION permission for an Android app.

I receive the following error within VS2015:

Value cannot be null. Parameter name: PackageNameOrAssemblyName

NOTE: To resolve this issue, I provided values in the app manifest for application name and package name.

Ty Scott it works for me, this is an example of manually edited manifest for PhoneWord example that works for me after inform package and app name: http://pastebin.com/chHykRt1

VS2015 Update 2, and I am still experiencing this issue: if I change any permissions while having empty package name, then I'll have to kill VS with taskmgr as this annoying dialog will prevent VS from closing.
