Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 3 Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'WHERE'.

UPDATE dbo._Procedure
SET DESCRIPTION='Rabies Vaccination',
WHERE DESCRIPTION='RABIES VACCINATION';

I put this update statement but it keeps coming back as an error and I'm not sure why. What did I do wrong?

Does the Procedure table actually start with an underscore?

You can only UPDATE a table like this not a stored procedure.

UPDATE dbo.yourtableName
SET DESCRIPTION='Rabies Vaccination'
WHERE DESCRIPTION='RABIES VACCINATION';

No comma before WHERE clause.

If the dbo._Procedure is your silly table name, you simply remove the extra comma before WHERE clause.
