Media services encode failure. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    I am new to AZURE and i am trying to create my first media services upload function and encode it get the  publish URL.

    I have read the documentation from here "https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/azure/media-services/previous/media-services-java-how-to-use"  and progressed upload to encode.

    This code here fails with client response 500 when trying to upload  and there is not much information on it

    mediaService.create(jobCreator)

    Job.Creator jobCreator = Job.create()
    .setName(String.format("Encoding %s to %s", assetToEncode.getName(), "several types"))
    .addInputMediaAsset(assetToEncode.getId()).setPriority(2)
    .addTaskCreator(task);
    JobInfo job = mediaService.create(jobCreator);

    Anyone has any idea ?

  • If you are new to Media Services, I recommend that you look at the latest v3 APIs and the new JAVA SDK there.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/java/api/overview/azure/mediaservices?view=azure-java-stable

    We do not have any samples ready yet for Java, but the SDK is more future proof, and it relies on the standard Azure Storage SDK components to ingest content into the service.
