    Hi Hans,

Don't you think that is a little harsh. The polite thing to do would be to move the thread to aspen net forums. Or if you are not a Mod here, you could post a link to redirect Dalia to the proper forum.

  • Hi Diana,
I cannot move threads to forums.asp.net, it is a different web site.  I did post the link, forums.asp.net is the correct URL. Moving threads right now is not advisable because of forum software bugs, you'll find details in the Feedback forum.  I am a moderator here, that's how I removed the lock.  Please use the Lock command only for gross violations of forum rulez.  I believe we discussed this before.

  • Hi,

You did not unlock it, I did. I moved it to net framework because there are other members posting questions about aspn net there, and are getting answers. (Hasn't anyone told you yet?), was the part that I felt was harsh. If it had been a newbe to the forums, you might have scared them away. (Could you post your question in aspn.net forums.) would have been a better responce. We might have discussed the lock, but not your additude

  • Please do not move ASP.NET questions into this forum.  This the Base Class Library forum, ASP.NET is quite off topic here.  Not just because it has nothing whatsoever to do with the BCL but also because there's a dedicated web site for it.  Contributors posting answers to off topic questions does not suddenly make the questions on topic.

Scaring away a user that repeatedly asked off topic questions in this forum was certainly my intent.  If it was actually you that kept moving off topic questions in here, I owe the OP an apology.  I suggest we discuss my "additude" in the moderator's forum.

  • It has not beem me doing this. This is the first time that I have moved a thread anywhere in this forum.. So if this off topic issue has been going on, it was not me.

If you wanted to use the moderator forums to discuss this, You should have started there. I don't appreciate you sending email to my private email address entitled (BCL forums, a quick ping).
