    Hi,

    I have configured a custom field as

    Hidden - false

    Show in display form - false

    show in edit form - false

    show in new form - false

    showinfiledlg - false

    show in list setting - true

    Is there any reason why i cant set this as a managed property?

    Are there certain conditions that are required?

    Hi BNaughton,

    have you created this custom field as site column ?

    If not, you have to do that. Only site columns can be mapped to search managed property.
