VisualStateManager in Separate File

    Question

  • I've been working on a snapped view of my app, and it's quickly becoming apparent that all the elements I'm rearranging (not animating) via <ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames> are taking up a lot of space in code. In fact, these tags take up ~50% of my XAML file. Is there a way for me to reference the VisualStateManager from another file? It'd be much easier to manage.

  • Have you explored using ResourceDictionary for this? It's not possible to have a .XAML include file if that's where you were headed.
