Windows 8 reccomendations

    General discussion

  • Hi there,

I've just had my first play with the prerelease of Windows 8 and I am greatly impressed with the start up speed and the fluency of the new OS. I also disagree with the supposed 'jarring' effect of changing the different UI's. However, the Metro UI should either by a lot easier to use with the mouse, or the user should be able to set the old desktop to default (without registry :)) for example, why the scroll bar? Why not use the mouse as a 'finger' and use it to drag the metro along at any part of the screen? The same applies for all scroll bars. Without this feature the Metro could really fustrate non touchscreen users,

Any other thoughts on metro/new OS?

    Thanks!
