How do I add user entered item to choice list items programmatically? RRS feed

  • I do not have access to sharepoint server can I achieve this in Sharepoint designer?

  • Did you try with lookup column? You can create a list with a single field and use this list values to be populated in lookup field. Also create a SPD workflow to insert the choice value in the list.

  • I don't think that there is anyway to use sharepoint designer to add to the choice list from the form.

     Editting those columns is an admin function so a normal user wouldn't have access to do that so it would have to be done in code thats elevated I would think.
