  • Question

  • Hi there,

anyone else who got problems with the $recycle.bin in the User-Disks?

We have the problem that some of the users cant delte their own files from the Desktop or Downloads or Photos.

We fix it by deleting the Folder $Recycle.bin in c:\users\userxy\

Is there another way to prevent this?

    Plz let me know

  • Howdy,

     - delete the recycle.bin from the template

    - already created disk: manual work or

    - maybe emptying the bin during logoff might help (after done it within the affected profile as admin, the access rights were automagically set correctly).

This is the first report of this I have heard.  Could you share repro steps with us, or a procmon of it occurring?

  • Had a customer with the same problem. They were using romaing profiles at the time, so it isn't a problem directly connected to FSLogix.

The only solution was to remove the hidden recycle bin and do a logout/login, as you described in your post.

I created a simple script that removes the recycle bin at logout (which results in emptying the recycle bin at the same time) and a new one is created when the user logs in again. Zero issues since the script went in production.
