Smart Art RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I found a great feature in Word 2007, i.e. SmartArt. Now I am more interested in creating my own smart custom figures/diagrams. I underwent this URL

and got to know how we can create a custom diagram. But many information like

    1) how to know about different types of algorithm
    2) How to create new custom diagrams
    3) help or SDK for creating such diagrams
    4) how to reference inbuilt shapes(rectangle, circle) and how to use them
    5) information for .glox extension and how to create it

    etc is missing

So, can some body help me to find all these information, so that I can try my hand on SmartArt to create smart figures Smile

Looking forward for a great response!!!

    Thanks a lot!

  • Hey,

I don't know if it helps..

rename the .GLOX file with the .ZIP extension.

Then you can play with the XML files...

  • Hi,

Did anybody figure out on this part? Its difficult to play around with xml without knowing the schema (possible values).

    Thanks in advance,

  • using WordArt in Open Xml is complcated, you need to deal with VML.
my suggestion is use tools to build up your solution.
