  • The Data Lake Store supports the below authentication types:

    1. Service principal authentication
    2. User credential (OAuth) authentication

We recommend that you use service principal authentication, especially for a scheduled data copy. Token expiration behavior can occur with user credential authentication.

Please follow the documentation for more details to configure Service principal authentication.

I’m able to move files by following the below steps.

    Source:

    PowerShell cmdlets:

Login to Azure account by using Login-AzureRmAccount cmdlet.

  • You can use Move-AzureRmDataLakeStoreItem PowerShell cmdlet to move files to different folders.

    Ex:

    Move-AzureRmDataLakeStoreItem -AccountName "ContosoADL" -Path "/Original/Path/File.txt" -Destination "/New/Path/RenamedFile.txt"

For more details, refer to this documentation.
