MSPS 2010 - timsheet recall feature RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

When I submit a timesheet, the plan is updated with the actuals.

When a timesheet is recalled, I don't see that the plan is updated. With this, the data integrity of the plan is lost.

Can someone please let me know what is the expected behaviour?

    Many thanks,

    Poornima

  • Hi Poornima,

As a process, Once you recall the timesheet, the plan will not be updated, once you again submit the same after making any correction/update, & timesheet gets approved by TS Approver & imported in Tasks (or PS2010- Single entry mode or PS2007 task sync to timesheet using codeplex), the plan will be updated.

  • Many thanks for clarifying Amit.

Only issue with the feature is, suppose I recall and forget to re-sbumit the timesheet immediately, the plan will not have the correct actuals as it would have the data of the timesheet that was recalled.

  • Yes, You are correct.

That's why most of the organizations check for the Timesheet compliance reports to validate status of timesheet. It seems to be training issue of team members. They will need to recall/update & submit again in case a recall is required.
