Compiling an OS for the SKY2440V2 dev board RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone have experience with the Sky2440V2 (ARMV4I) board? I'm having trouble compiling an OS for the board, using the BSP provided.

I've tried compiling a Small Footprint project as well as the sample OS they provide. The sample OS is supposed to be the same one that comes pre-loaded on the board.

I'm using Visual Studio 2005 and Platform Builder 6.

Has anyone had any success with this dev board?

  • what's the problem you have exactly? It does not build (which errors you get)? It does not  boot?

  • I can't compile the source code they provide. It would appear that some definitions aren't included or missing.

I've closed the project and don't have the exact error messages in front of me. I will compile it again on Monday and post the errors (it takes ages to compile!).

There is an SDK.msi file that is included with with project. Where must that be installed to?

  • the SDK file -probably- will install an SDK for that specific OS configuration allowing you to develop applications targeted to that specific OS
