  • Hi The SQL version is Ok..

    Quick Things to check

    1) Server service is started and running

    2) Analysis service is running and properly configured

    3) MSDTC is properly configure and you have the connectivity between the Analysis server and Biztalk APp server..

  • biztalk  configuration is showing as all success as below : but BAMAnalysis data base is not created.

  • Hi Dinesh,

    My suggesion is this,

Unconfigure the Analysis Services in BAM tools.

    Drop the Analysis database

    Now Reconfigure the Analysis Service...

There seems to be some configuration error

  • Before you do this, please as a very serious question, do you need to?

Also, the screen shots you posted are related to the BAM Portal, not the ESB Portal.

  • Hi Johns ,

    As arindam Says

    4. Configure BizTalk with full BAM configuration. Ensure to check “Enable Analysis Services for BAM aggregations”, give the Server Name and Apply Configurations.

needs to be done before installing Esb.portal.

So i am worrying about it. other wise i dont have any problem with this.

  • What I mostly mean is, do you really need to install the ESB Portal or any of the ESB Toolkit for that matter?

Have you identified a definite and proven benefit to using it?  Realistically, the answer is likely no.

While not the topic of this thread, if you describe what you expect to use ESBT for, we can probably give you better options.

  • Hi johns,

We have  master tables nearly 300+ and sharing the same tables to more than 50+data bases. so all this process is working through esb application.

Now why i need esb portal  is,  my management wants to know how many got failed in day so to monitor all this type of issues they are forcing me to install Management portal. so they can easily monitor.

Because its a master data it needs to be in sync for every 15 min.

  • Does your site have an general purpose network or system monitoring tools such as SCOM or Splunk?

The ESB Management Portal is very isolated and requires user interaction.  Other products can be configured to alert on demand.

The risk is people will just stop checking.  The worst case is they make you responsible for checking ;)

  • Yes Johns,

I know  they make me responsible for checking,

any how i am the only person (support/developer/admin) . so i need to solve the issue at end.

I can able to monitor from  Admin console if any failures,But my management people are not technical so they need a graphical view of failed cases. That;s why planning for Esb portal.

  • Hi,

    Any solution for this?

    Thursday, October 20, 2016 4:37 AM
  • Hi DineshNad,

I agree with what John says, ESB portal is just an overload, I had installed it in my previous project and it was hardly ever used ...I ended up spending lot of time configfuring stuff for that..but in the end we relied on the use of powershell to generate the reports for the failed messages in the BizTalk, it just saves time and it is automated.

But have your tried the unconfiguring and reconfiguring of the Analysis Services as I suggested???
