Visual Studio tools For Applications? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

I haven't found any appropriate forum for this and here at leas the names sound similar. :-(

Does anyone know the status of VSTA? The latest postings are from 2010 and the documentation goes up to visual studio 2008 (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc175562%28v=VS.90%29.aspx).Is it still supported for new projects? If not, what succeedes it?

    Lots of Greetings!

  • Hi Hetzi,

Thanks for posting in the MSDN Forum.

Would you please tell me which Office suite you used on you side? Please tell me of it with its version.

    Have a good day,

    Tom

  • I don't use office at all, sorry about that.

VSTA appears to be a tool where one can add VBA capabilities to ones own .NET programs or so.

  • Hi Volker,

As far as I know VSTA has been integrated in InfoPath. I don't know that can run with out InfoPath. So I can't understand the statement "I don't use office at all". Would you please show me more information?

    Have a good day,

    Tom
