not a developer but get specified credentials invalid when browsing other sites

    Question

  • I'm not a developer and don't have any maps that I've created (as far as I know!). I'm just a casual internet user. When I look at maps on some sites, I get the "specified credentials are invalid" message with link to sign up for an account.  If I go to the same site on my husband's pc, I do not get this message.  I'd rather not have to sign up for something I won't be using.  Is there another way to solve this?

    Thanks!

  • Hi DRBRG,

It is the Web Site owner that needs the credentials, you should contact the site owner to let them know that their credentials are invalid.

  • Sorry, I still don't understand why I would get this message on my pc, but when I use my husband's pc I do not.  Help!

  • Hi DRBRG,

You will get the message from Websites that have not added a Bing Maps Key.  Your husband must be looking at a different site if he does not see the message.
