  • Question

  • Not able to run reports with https

    In my sql configuration manager, there was 2 urls specified in the web service url tab

    One with Http and the other with https

    I am able to view my report with http but not with https

    What should i do for this?

     I placed the below line in my web.config

    <Add Key=”SecureConnectionLevel” Value=”3″/>

    Now i am getting the error

    remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure

  • Hi Raamakarthikeyan,

    According to your description, you would like to configure SSL for reporting service, right? Please refer to the following link and see if it works for you.

    Configuring a Report Server for Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Connections: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345223(v=SQL.100).aspx

    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • HI Eileen

    Thanks for the reply, i have gone thru the link previously. I was not able to create a server certiificate

    There is even a sub link in the link you have shared, which tells about obtaining the server certificate locally. I was not about to create the server certificate with MakeCert

    Do you know any other link where they have explained about creating a server certificate?
