WPF notification/notifier window RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I'm trying to create a WPF notifier window that people see on the bottom right corner of the screen for instance like antivirus/spam applications and also like weather reports that shows up or comes up from the bottom. I can create the window by calling like:

    Window1 _window = new Window1()

    _window.Show();

    on a button click, but the window is visible on the Windows taskbar like saying that two windows are open (the main window and the notifier window), but most if not all of these "notifier" windows seem to not have a second window in the taskbar and it just feels like no window opened up. Is there a way to do this without having the notifier window taking up space in the "start" menu taskbar window list?

    Please help. This thing is confusing me. It just feels like i can't do any _window.Show() on the notifier window because if 100 notifier windows are open, it will take 100 window icons on my Windows taskbar.

    Any helps is appreciated.
