  • I currently have a project running under .NET Framework 4.0. Can I use the Scheduler SDK or will I need to use the REST API?

  • Hi JohnSusiak,

You can either use Azure Schduler REST Api or SDK, both provides different methods, choice depends upon the nature of your application.

You can use REST Api to Create, update, and delete “job collections” programmatically.

1:Create, update, and delete “job collections” programmatically

    • 2:Create, update, delete scheduled jobs programmatically
    • 3:View list of job collections and jobs programmatically
    • 4:View job status and history programmatically

Using Azure Schduler SDK gives more options, wil be  able to define the retry policy and error action of the job executed failed. This two parameter can only be specified through SDK.

To get more details about REST Api, refer this link

To get more details about SDK , please visit

I hope you alrdy got the solution, as the thread is bit  old,
