Hiding Menu Off Screen RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I managed to animate a fly in menu, but when I hide the part of the menu which i'm supposed to fly in, it is still visible. I hide it off the actual root layout it still.

Are there any tutorial that show you how to do this properly? Do you need to perform calculations for the offsets to work properly on different resolutions?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Why not just place the menu in an expander?

Or another fix might be instead of moving the object out of view, perhaps animate the width or height to reduce the viewing area instead of moving the object out of view?

Unless I'm not understanding the question, in which case maybe elaborate and provide code & screenshots like Chuck pointed out.

  • Is it possible you are working with a Silverlight web application?

If so, when you build it, it will show everything, even stuff off the layout.  However, once you put it inside a Silverlight control in your web page then items outside the layout should not show.
