DXVA2 Acceleration for MPEG4 Part 2 RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I'm looking to add DXVA2 Acceleration for MPEG4 Part 2 for a software using the reference: DirectX Video Acceleration Specification of Off-Host VLD Mode for MPEG-4 Part 2 Video Decoding. However, the data structures specified in the document seems to be new. Will DXVA even recognize these structures? From the previous similar QA on this,

"If you want a decoding capability which is not defined, you have to define your own GUID as well as all the structure and buffer usage. Not only the driver but also the application has to understand them all."

    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/mediafoundationdevelopment/thread/cab1290f-58bc-4fa5-9223-705ae9b3a76c

Even if I define the structures, fill them up and send them in, will DXVA recognize these new structures?
