How many instance can run synchronously in a work flow runtime? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, everyone.

Is there a max number that limit the number of instance running on one WF runtime?

What should be consider when I use multi thread to do WF?

    Thank you all..

There is no limit on the number of workflow instances you can have on a WF runtime. The DefaultWorkflowSchedulerService has a MaxSimultaneousWorkflows property that you can tweak as well. However, only 4 threads per processor are used to run the workflows, which means there is a limit on the simultaneous number of workflows running.
