DreamSpark software MAK limit after HDD failure. RRS feed

  • In an effort to keep a short question, short:

    A couple of weeks back, I tossed together a couple of VM's for study use.  The other day the HDD failed and the VM's are no longer.  The VM's in question were two instances of 2008 R2 standard, one R2 web, and a 2012.  I've got a Dreamspark subscription through my school and since these were entirely for my personal studies...figured I'd use them.

    Flash forward to yesterday, new hdd, new vmware workstation instance, installed my R2 standard software...and got MAK license limit errors.  Is there any way to reset these or are they just lost in the ether?

  • Still looking for an answer to this.  I've since moved on to other means, but I'd love to be able to get these keys back to usable status.
