EDI 810 validation error in BatchElementSuspendService orchestration RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • We have a EDI 810 schema. It works fine when we are not using the REF segment after the BIG. However when we are using the REF node we are getting the error

The batch element is being suspended as it failed validation. The error is : Stopping after the first error !!

    Error: 1 (Segment level error)
    SegmentID: TDS
    Position in TS: 2
    3: Mandatory Segment Missing
    Error: 2 (Segment level error)
    SegmentID: REF
    Position in TS: 2
    2: Unexpected segment

We are able to validate the EDI instance with a REF node in design time as well as through EDI receive pipeline at run time.
The batchorchestration problem does not happen if we remove the REF node.

Has anyone faced a similar situation?

  • Hi,

Please try sending that xml document using EDI Send pipeline. Batching Orchestration and EDI Send use similar validation steps. If that message passes thru the EDI Send pipeline and still fails in Batching Orchestration, please post the xml, we can have a look at that.
