Email Credencials different Timezone RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello,

I have created one email account office 365 and set its credencials in my project which was delveloped in Microsoft VS 2015 MVC 5.

The problem is that when I run the project localy, it runs properly but what I put that code on server it doesn't work.

Do anyone have solution for it?

  • What does this have to do with time zones? What exactly do you mean  by " it doesn't work"? Is there a particular line of your code that behaves unexpectedly or throws an error?

  • What I mean, when I run the project localy and send mail from my send mail page(here credencials to send mail are mentioned), it reaches proprely to the destination.

But when I put same project on server and run the same functionality it could not send mail wothout showing any error or exception.

And what would the error or exception be? You need to be a lot more detailed. Show the relevant snippets of your code and indicate the exact exception message and the line raising it.

  • I found the solution on below link.

The problem -:Sending mails not working in production environment with same settings

    Referance link -:http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13184992/sending-mails-not-working-in-production-environment-same-settings

When I set port from 587 to 25 , code started working. But, on some sites , they say that port 25 is not recommended and obsolated.

Please let me know if you have any alternate solution for it.
